Keispelt is part of the commune of Kehlen, located in the canton of Capellen in central Luxembourg. The commune also includes the villages of Dondelange, Kehlen, Brameschhof, Meispelt, Nospelt and Olm, as well as three farms: Dürrenthal, Weidenthal and Quatre-Vents.

The villages of Keispelt and Meispelt developed as a result of extensive land clearing encouraged by Frankish nobles and the abbey of Saint-Maximin, which owned land there. In the Middle Ages, these two villages were part of the seigneury of Ansembourg, with Keispelt as its chief town.

The nearby town of Kehlen offers many amenities, including restaurants, a supermarket, doctors' surgeries and a pharmacy. Mersch, just a 10-minute drive away, offers a wider choice of restaurants, stores and supermarkets. The Centre Aquatique Krounebierg, 7 km away, has several swimming pools, numerous indoor and outdoor water games and a wellness center. The new Lorentzweiler inspection station is a 15-minute drive away.

Just across the road from the property, a recently renovated fitness trail offers seven workout stations, with a variety of muscle-building equipment.

Every Easter Monday, Nospelt traditionally celebrates the "Eemaischen", a festival that continues the village's pottery tradition. This large craft market, in existence since 1827, offers a wide variety of pottery and ceramics, including the famous "Péckvillercher": small clay pipes in the shape of a bird. These unique objects, available only at the Eemaischen, are offered as limited editions, with a new collector's item every year.

Bus routes connect Keispelt with Kehlen, Mersch and other towns in the region. For example, buses regularly pass through Kehlen, Olm and Nospelt, enabling Keispelt residents to travel to these neighboring towns.
Buses also take you to the city of Luxembourg, around 15-20 minutes away by car, and to other regional centers for further transport options such as trains.

Using the bus, Keispelt residents can easily reach Mersch, which is an important hub for public transport. From Mersch, trains run regularly to Luxembourg City and other cities in the country.
