TOP 10 of the most expensive cities for real estate investment!

Are you perhaps wondering where to purchase your next house or apartment?

We will help you know the most expensive cities in the world.

A study carried out by "Global Property Guide", based on the purchase price per square meter of properties situated in beautiful neighborhoods, this year ranked Monaco at the top of the list with its 60,114 dollars per square meter. The principality is thus today the most expensive city in the world for real estate investment.

The rankings continue with :

  • London, with 34,531 dollars/m2, already much lower than Monaco,
  • Followed by Hong Kong at 25,551 dollars/m2,
  • New York 17,191 dollars/m2,
  • Tokyo 16,322 dollars/m2,
  • Moscow 16,021 dollars/m2,
  • Bombay 15,5225 dollars/m2,
  • Geneva 15,495 dollars/m2,
  • Vienna 14,592 dollars/m2,
  • and finally Paris in last place at 14,100 dollars/m2.
However, it must be stated that these rankings are only based on current prices in these capital cities. This shows that the high price of housing is often linked to how rich the country is.

Other factors may come into play in the valuation of these housing costs, such as the cultural, touristic or even historical richness of the country.

Meanwhile, if investment in these capital cities seems a little expensive for you, you can always invest in the Grand Duchy or in the Grand Region. Find your real estate property among more than 22,000 available listed properties at IMMOTOP.LU.
