ING supports Maître Georges Krieger's initiative, proven specialist in real estate law!

On 20 January 2014 at the Chamber of  Commerce, Luc Verbeken, CEO of ING Luxembourg and Maître Georges Krieger, lawyer, presented the new book entitled ”Droit de l'urbanisme : les autorisations du bourgmestre”, written and published by Maître Krieger.

In front of an audience mostly composed of professionals from the real estate sector, Luc Verbeken recalled that ING supported the publication of previous books written by Maître Krieger like “Le code immobilier” in 2007 as well as “Le bail d'habitation” in 2009 and is happy to support once again his initiative to publish books aiming at dealing with situations that might impact our clients.

After the introductory speech by Luc Verbeken, Maître Krieger took the floor to make a global presentation of his book and to explain why he thinks that legislation should be reviewed in terms of authorizations issued by the mayor. He also spoke in favour of the improvement of administrative simplification.

Published by the Editions Portalis, the objective of his new books is to give a global approach of the situation and present it comprehensively: this is the first in-depth review about Luxembourg law and authorizations issued by the mayor. In more than 500 pages, he analyzes the nature of these administrative acts and the implementation of the authorizations. The focus has been put on sanctions, on neighborhood law, on orders to close down yards.

ING is interested in the evolution of the real estate market as well as the legal framework in the sector. This initiative is essential to assist clients and support them in the development of their projects.
