Éisleck: Spotlight on the North of Luxembourg

Clervaux

Welcome to the heart of the Natural Park of Our, at the northern tip of the country. Located at a one-hour drive from the capital, Clervaux feels like a place frozen in time. Towered by its castle and overhanging forests, Clervaux enjoys the dynamism of a charming village whose history becomes apparent in every single corner.

However, it would be demeaning to think that it is only worth stopping by for the charm of its heritage. It is also home to the Cité de l'Image and its artists' residence. And during summer, many tourists are seen strolling around for a day or a short stay. Walking area, stores, restaurants, but also craft areas... the city features numerous assets.

Vianden

Vianden, a historical town and medieval city with its castle implanted at the heart of the village, is also the first Luxembourg municipality to own a blast furnace! This charming village nestling in the heart of the Our valley also serves as a starting point for beautiful hiking trails.

Located 51 km from the capital and a few minutes from Diekirch, the village is a peaceful place to live... during winter. In summer, it turns into a day trip destination for many local and foreign tourists, who are attracted by the castle, the cable car, but also by the open-air swimming pool with a breathtaking view of the forests.

Troisvierges

At the northern tip of the country, the town of Troivierges offers a variety of outdoor activities. With its open-air swimming pool, its marked out cycling circuits and its 17 hikes starting from the village, Troivierges is a pleasant and rejuvenating place to live for its 3,500 residents.
