ID: Located 15 km away to the west from the capital, this region has kept its authentic charm in an incomparable natural environment.



Territorial organization: The merger of the 20 communes of the west forms the Lëtzebuerg West region. They work together to promote touristic, cultural and social development of the region.



Why should you choose the west? The region has very dynamic entities whose reputation for innovation goes beyond borders. For example, Beckerich, a town that became a benchmark for sustainable development. For many years, thanks to a the dynamism of elected people and the entire population, this small town of 2200 inhabitants serves as a pioneer in its social (school renovation, reception service for children outside classrooms etc.) and environment (high performance photovoltaic installation system) project management.



Redange-sur-Attert is another town in the west that also has many advantages. Since it is in the Belgian border, it opens up opportunities for companies and cross-border workers. It also provides a good public transport network and offers proximity to commercial areas and has a protected environment. A new GDP (General Development Plan) anticipates developing a developable area of 20 hectares to accommodate new residents.



This commune, which is developed in accordance with environmental and social diversity, will contribute to the rejuvenation of the population.



Real estate trend: The sale price of apartments and houses are generally lower (15%) than the rest of the country. However, there are significant differences between communes. Thus, establishing the European School in Mamer has created a great attraction for the region. The housing market is experiencing a strong growth which results in a sharp increase in prices.
