Map ID: The Mullerthal region is often called "Luxembourg’s Little Switzerland" because of its hilly landscape. It is characterized by its impressive rock formations and beautiful forests. It is a popular destination for tourists (and hikers) and has a very particular environment for properties ranging from residential properties to holiday resorts.
Echternach, the capital of Mullerthal, is the oldest town in Luxembourg. This city, which is located on the banks of the Sûre River and on the German border, is a must-visit place when visiting the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. It is best known for a dancing procession, an ancient religious tradition that takes place on the Tuesday following the Pentecost, as well as for its former Benedictine abbey that dates back to the seventh century.
Junglinster is another important town that represents one of the largest communities of Luxembourg. Conveniently located in the highway between Germany and Luxembourg and with good road connections to the rest of the country, it remains a highly sought after city for both housing and business establishment requirements.
The city of Remich is located on the Sarrebruck-Luxembourg European highway. Remich, which is a commercial and administrative center, is a beautiful city near the Moselle that has several vineyards and thick forests.

In general, the east shows a rather regular property development in terms of apartments, even if the supply is still limited in the old areas. In fact, this region only has 5% of old apartments for sale throughout the country. This is due to the large supply in the Moselle region on the German border that offers much lower prices.
Just as many other cities, the city of Echternach has signed the housing agreement which intends to launch a housing development program to cope with 15% of population growth over the next 10 years. Manertchen city is part of this housing agreement, which is supported by the housing fund, as it meets the standards relating to sustainable development and social diversity.
