National Housing Week 2014

October 6, 2014

Come and meet Immotop and ING at the HOME & LIVING EXPO feat. National Housing Week

It was only a matter of time before the two annual events “National Housing Week“ and the “Autumn Fair” joined forces; their identities are so complementary that it made sense indeed to merge them into one large exhibition called “Home And Living Expo” dedicated to housing, building, renovating, furnishing and decorating.

Together the organizing bodies developed a single high quality event, which brings to the public real solutions to all the questions and concerns that a complex housing market generates. This event has three components. Firstly, the National Housing Week exhibition, initiated by the Ministry for Housing, offers the opportunity to take stock of the Luxembourg housing market. Although integrated into the new Home & Living Expo, its aim remains that of assisting the population interested in investing, building, renting and buying a property.

Anyone acquiring a property could expect, under normal circumstances, to take a week off to go and enquire about bank loans, state subsidies, energy efficiency subventions, and other related housing matters. Thanks to the exhibition, all prospection steps are made easier and quicker with all the professional partners reunited together under one roof and available to respond to all your questions.

The participating promoters and estate agents respectively present their latest projects and portfolios. Instead of running from one agency to another around town, the visitors can compare on the spot the various offers. Experts in ancillary services are on hand to explain the various administrative and fiscal considerations relating to the acquisition of a property. You can find out how to benefit from a 3% Vat rate, or, if you can avail of the Bëllegen Akt rebate.

Several banks, insurance companies, internet real estate platforms, as well as the Order of Architects and Engineers-Advisers are all represented.

Secondly, the exhibition formerly known as the “Autumn Fair” has re-centered its concept around the themes of construction, renovation furnishing and decoration, in order to become the Home & Living Expo. During the year the participating partners identify the new trends in the above mentioned fields in order to showcase the most recent materials, furniture, and equipment for the house and the garden. Distributors from Luxembourg and the surrounding countries present their products and services; demonstrations are organized.

Once again it is a great opportunity for anyone involved in a housing project to find out what are the latest developments and what needs to be considered, chosen and budgeted for.

The third and last event of this exhibition is the extended promotional campaign for energy renovation and the building of energy efficient dwellings.

GIE Myenergy is the official Luxembourg body for informing and advising in the areas of energy efficiency and renewable energies, and it has joined the event organizational team. Its workshops and general assistance to the public will bring real added value for those in search of information, products and services in these fields.

Immotop and ING are therefore proud to be taking part to what will be without any doubt an informative and interesting event and we look forward to seeing you there.
