Collective housing management or "cohousing" takes off in Luxembourg

June 6, 2017

The City of Luxembourg has decided to launch this concept, which already exists in other European countries. The idea is to allow individuals to group together to take part in developing a real estate project designed with help by a promoter.

The group will have greater decision-making power at various levels and may enjoy preferential pricing once the housing is built.

The neighborhoods of Bonnevoie and Belair will experiment first with this new concept.

An informational meeting is planned for Monday, June 12, at 6:30 p.m. at the Cité Auditorium, and the City of Luxembourg will also organize sessions to help create application files on June 29 and July 6 and 13.

More info is available on the website of the City of Luxembourg (french)
